The Japanese Hansa Class Association has a new President.
At their annual meeting, Koji Harada was elected President, succeeding Kazuaki Kaido. Mr Kaido has assumed the role of Honorary President. The IHCA is deeply grateful to Mr Kaido for his dedication to the Class Association over many years, promoting our class and his welcoming of international sailors to Japan, culminating in the 2018 Hansa Class World Championships and 2022 Asia Pacific’s.
Mr Harada has issued the following statement for the IHC
Dear Members of the International Hansa Class Association
I am honored to announce that I have assumed the position of President of the Japan Hansa Class Association.
I am deeply humbled to succeed former President Kaido, who has made tremendous contributions to the association since its founding. Although I still have much to learn, I am fully committed to following in his footsteps and dedicating myself to the further development of our association.
Over the years, Japanese Sailability activities and the Japan Hansa Class have grown under the guidance of many pioneers overseas, for which I would like to express my sincere gratitude. I will cherish and uphold our founding principles, working closely with my colleagues to further strengthen our activities.
As the newly appointed President, I will strive with sincerity and dedication, seeking continued guidance from Honorary President Kaido, and looking forward to the warm support of Vice President Okita, Secretary-General Aoki, and all of you.
I humbly request your continued guidance and encouragement.
President:Koji Harada
Japan Hansa Class Association
We look forward to working with Mr Harada, who is a regular attendee at Australian events, sailing a 2.3.
