The International Hansa Class Association has today announced that the 2023 Hansa Class World and International Championships will be held in Portimao, Portugal.

The event will be held at Iate Clube Marina de Portimão in October 2023.

Expressions of interest to host the 2023 event were submitted by Portimao, Portugal and Meze, France, with a close vote seeing the event heading to Portugal for the first time.

VP Championships, Bob Schahinger, thanked both parties for their interest in hosting the 2023 World Championships.

Both venues have recently held the Hansa Class European Championships – with Meze, France hosting the 2017 European Championships, with Portimao, Portugal hosting the 2019 Championships.
