World Masters Games deferred until 2022

The World Masters Games, scheduled to be held in Kansai, Japan in 2020 have been deferred until 2022.

The Games will take place from Friday, 13th – Sunday, 29th May, 2022 featuring a total of 35 sports and 59 events.

The sailing event will be held from May 24th – 29th at the Wakayama Sailing Centre.

Registration and equipment inspection will take place on May 24th and 25th, followed by an Opening Ceremony, Managers meeting and reception.

Racing will take place from May 26th to the 29th, with a closing ceremony following sailing on May 29th.

Competitors in the 303 singles can race in 5 divisions, depending on age, whilst the doubles competitors’ divisions are determined by their combined ages.

Minimum age is 30 (born on or before 31 December 1992)
In line with the sport-specific rules, an athlete must compete in their designated age group, with your age determined as at 31 December 2022. For example, if you are 45 during Games time but have turned 46 by 31 December 2022, you would compete in the 46+ age category.
